The Catholic Youth Foundation is a nonprofit Catholic lay apostolate, faithful to the Magisterium, and the Holy Father, committed to helping youth and individuals, parishes, schools and other organizations that serve youth in ministry.

Catholic Youth Networking is a site for Catholic young people, dedicated to providing a web-based environment where they can learn about their faith, share their thoughts, and link to other interesting websites. The overall design of the site is excellent making it easy to find the large number of resources offered. It is well worth a visit for "youth" of all ages.

Catholic Youth World Network (CYWN) is a worldwide network of Catholic youth that work in clubs in cities throughout the world to build a new world based on Christ's values.

YOUTH NEWS
April 6, 2008
If you haven't noticed, the church is a
little fuller this weekend. We have the pleasure of hosting Christ the
King youth retreat. The retreat started at 3 p.m. Saturday and will run
until Sunday at 4 p.m. Ruth and Jeff Bailey are the youth ministers, and
many parent chaperones from Christ the King parish have been working
very hard to offer this retreat to all Irondequoit youth. The theme for
this retreat is, "Lean On Him When You Are Not Strong!"
There will be a few speakers talking about the struggles they have faced
and how their faith helped them through tough times. The youth will also
be involved in several break-out sessions. Please keep them in your
prayers.
On another note, last weekend the
National Evangelization Team Ministry Group (NET) was holding their
retreat at the Church of the Annunciation. This group of young people
(18-25) travel around the states sharing their ministry with Junior High
and Senior High Students. The group did a wonderful job and hopefully
will be back next year.
St. Cecilia's group meets every Friday
night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All junior high and high school youth are
welcome. There are several events coming up, a bowling trip to St.
Boniface Parish this month and we will be offering a Jazzercise class
towards the end of the month. We offer game and movies nights with a
short commercial break for spiritual growth. We have also been trying a
few new experiments in FOOD. We usually have pizza, but every once in a
while we have taco night, health food night, even macaroni and cheese
night. This is why I have decided to bring in JAZZERCISE!!!
any college students or moms with a
little extra time on their hands are also welcome to stop by any Friday
night.
