Lector
- Lectors proclaim the Word to the congregation. The Prayers of the
faithful are read by the Lector, as well as the introduction of those
participating and the hymns. Preparation is important for a Lector. They set the tone for the Liturgy.

Extraordinary Minister of Communion (Communion Minister) - They bring the Body and Blood of
Christ to His people during our Liturgies as well as to those who are
homebound (Sr. Cathy Solan coordinates our Homebound Ministry). They
must convey an attitude of respect, hospitality and welcome!

Sacristan
– The Sacristan prepares the Altar and Sanctuary for the Mass. They
set up the credence and gift tables, set out the Lectionary, light the
candles, etc. They ensure that everything is ready for the Celebrant to
celebrate the Liturgy. We would like to have a Sacristan for each
Mass.

Altar Server
- Altar Servers assist our Celebrants during
our Liturgies. They also lead our Offertory Procession. Training is
available for anyone in fourth grade or higher. Mrs. Sharon Trimaldi
coordinates this Ministry. This is a wonderful way to involve our
youth and enable them to learn more about service and about the Mass!
Altar Server for Funerals - We would like to expand our Funeral Ministry by enlisting more altar servers. Training is being provided for those who may be interested in serving. What a wonderful opportunity for anyone who may be available during the day to serve Our Lord and to offer assistance to others in need. You may be flexible in your commitment and indicate your availability. Please call Mary Ann Noto at 467-4286, ext. 106 for more information.

Choir
- We are always recruiting new members of all ages to join us in this
very important part of our Liturgy. The Choir practices once a week
(generally). We are continuing to reach out to our youth and invite
them to sing at one of our Liturgies once a month (usually at the 9:30
Mass).
-
St. Cecilia's Choir
is a dedicated group of men and women who provide music for our Liturgical
celebrations. They rehearse each Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. during
the school year. The choir sings most Sundays from September through
June at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. They also provide music for special feasts
during the Liturgical year. They practice and sing under the direction
of our organist and Music Director.
Please call our Music Director for
more information.
- Our Children's Choir invites
children from age 8 - 14 to participate in a seasonal choir during special
celebrations. Watch the bulletin for announcements.
For details, contact our Music Director at (585) 723-1459
(Home) or (585) 467-4286, ext. 109.

Minister of
Hospitality (Usher) –The first impression of a parish is sometimes
one that is made through the contact we have with our Ministers of
Hospitality! We ask that they enlist parishioners to assist in our
Offertory Procession, assist with parking, as well as their duties of
seating and answering questions. The main “requirement” of this
ministry is to provide a kind, welcoming, helpful attitude to all those
who come into our parish family.

Greeter – Greeters assist our Ministers of Hospitality in welcoming all those
entering our Church during our weekend and special Liturgies.
Volunteers are scheduled on a rotating basis.
