The Reverend Kevin McKenna pauses from greeting the hundreds of parishioners
who packed Saint Cecilia's Newcomb Friendship Center for his farewell
reception Sunday. After eight years as the pastor here, Reverend McKenna leaves at the
end of the month to take up a new post as pastor of Sacred Heart Cathedral.
The stream of well wishers in the receiving line Sunday lasted virtually the
entire three hours of the reception.
