Online Coloring Books

Thank you for purchasing and downloading Online Coloring Books!

To make the most of your purchase, we suggest that you print this page and use it as a reference guide.

Each Online Coloring BookEpic Events of the Bible, Jesus’ Ministry and Old Testament Characters has it's own folder. Your church’s kids (and young-at-heart) can visit your church Web site to color pictures right onscreen.

Each book has been designed to work as its own mini-Web site within your church's Web site.

How to put an entire coloring book on your Web site

Putting a coloring book on your Web site is simple. Just copy the book of your choice into your Web site. Next, create a link from one or more of your pages to the coloring book’s default.html page found within the book’s folder.

The folders for the three books are:

For example, to put the Old Testament Characters coloring book on your home page:

  1. Copy or import the folder named ot_characters_book from the coloring book folder into your Web site using either Windows Explorer, Macintosh Finder or your Web-authoring software. It doesn't matter where you put the folder as long as you can find it and link to its files.
  2. Using your Web-authoring program (such as Dreamweaver, GoLive, FrontPage, etc.), create a hyperlink from one of your pages to the default.html file found inside the ot_characters_book folder. The link on your Web page may look something like this:
Hey Kids! Click here to color your favorite Old Testament Bible characters.
  3. View your page in your Web browser to check your new link.
  4. Repeat the process for the other books.

Using FrontPage to add coloring books to your Web site

To add the coloring books to your Web site using Microsoft FrontPage, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your Web site in FrontPage
  2. Using the menu bar, choose: File > Import > Add Folder.
  3. Select the folder where you downloaded the coloring book files to your computer and click on the book’s folder (see folder list above).
OK the selections. The folder is now on your Web site.
  4. Open a page of your choice; add a link to the default.html page within the folder you just added, then save the page.
  5. View it in your Web browser to check your new link.
  6. Repeat the process for the other books.

Customizing your coloring books

The default.html page for each coloring book is a simple HTML page that can be edited using your favorite Web authoring program. You can add your church logo, links to other pages, special messages, etc. You may edit those pages just as you would any other HTML page in your site.
