Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Pastoral Council Information
The Pastoral Council offers advice and council to our pastor, Fr. Norm Tanck, CSB. It helps the parish be faithful to its mission and sets a direction as it plans for the future.
The Council meets monthly to review reports from the pastor and staff, the parish's various ministries, committees and programs and to set and develop goals for the growth and strengthening of the parish community.
If you wish to contact a council member, call the parish office (266-1288) leave a message and your call will be responded to as soon as possible.
Open Forum Policy for Pastoral Council meetings
After lengthy discussion at the October 12, 2011 meeting, the pastoral council came to consensus to implement, effective immediately, the following policy regarding an open pastoral council meeting:
- A request to speak during the open forum portion of the pastoral council meeting must be submitted by either emailing BKTpastoralcouncil@gmail.com or phone the business office at 266-1288 by the 1st of the month. Please include the subject matter at time of request.
- Guest is allowed to join the council in opening prayer and then speak for approximately two minutes during the open forum on only the topic that they had requested.
- Council members may ask the guest clarification questions if needed.
- Guest is excused after the open forum. The remainder of the pastoral council meeting will be closed.
- A member of the pastoral council will reply either by e-mail or written letter to the guest with a response to his/her concerns prior to the next month’s council meeting. The response will be entered into the meeting minutes.
